I specialize in small (under 35 lbs), adult, social, and easygoing dogs who settle naturally into a relaxed rhythm. My approach draws on decades of experience, positive-reinforcement micro-training, and a refined understanding of what helps dogs feel safe and at home. Each stay is shaped around your dog's pace.

Pick-Up and Drop-Off

Pick-up and drop-off window: 10am to 6pm

Each stay includes a 2-hour grace period beyond your scheduled pick-up time. A courtesy text is appreciated. Because the schedule moves in set blocks, stays that extend beyond the grace window roll into the next block:

• Up to 6 hours beyond scheduled pick-up: $60

• Up to 8 hours beyond scheduled pick-up: $75

• Beyond 8 hours (up to 24 hours): $125

Pick-up outside the 10am to 6pm window is not available.

Bookings and Payment

Space here is intentionally limited, so reservations are confirmed once payment is received. Until payment is completed, the space remains open and may be offered to another client.

• Once we confirm your dates, I'll send the invoice for your pup's stay

• Payment in full is due in advance of the stay

• Holiday periods include a $25 per dog, per 24-hour surcharge

• Cancellations 7 or more days in advance: full refund or credit toward a future stay within 6 months

• Cancellations within 7 days: nonrefundable and charged as booked, as that space has been held exclusively for your pup

Pup Club memberships are prepaid monthly and reserve a set number of nights for your pup each month. Reserved nights are treated as used once the monthly schedule is set, even if your pup skips or cancels. Membership terms for your specific tier are provided in writing at enrollment.

Dog Boarding Sausalito is designed for a particular kind of pup. The group stays small and the rhythm of the day stays calm, so each dog can genuinely exhale, settle in, and feel at home.

When I say adult, mellow, and well-mannered, I mean a dog who:

• Is fully grown (typically 2 years or older)

• Prefers relaxed walks, exploring, and light play over high-intensity activity

• Settles comfortably after outings and rests easily between adventures

• Has dependable house manners and potty habits

• Plays gently, reads other dogs' social cues, and feels at ease in a small group

• Relaxes in a quiet, steady home environment

Puppies and high-energy dogs often thrive in busier, activity-heavy environments built around that level of energy. The magic here is in the softness and steadiness of the day, suited to dogs who are ready for that kind of ease.

All pups must be:

• 35 lbs or under

• House trained (no pee pads)

• Spayed or neutered

• On flea and tick medication

• Socialized and comfortable with a variety of dogs, cats (indoor), people, and situations

• Up to date on vaccinations or titer results

• Available for a trial stay prior to initial boarding: one 24-hour stay to ensure your pup will be happy in their new home away from home (new clients only)
